रामायण में हमने राम और सीता के स्वयंवर समारोह का वर्णन सुना है की उसमे काफी राजकुमारों ने हिस्सा लिया और श्री राम जी ने शिवधनुष को तोड़ कर स्वयंवर जीता और सीता जी से विवाह किया .परन्तु क्या सच में ऐसा कोई स्वयंवर समारोह हुआ था!
